Organization DSVB (German - Deutscher Standschützenverband), or German State Shooting Association, had a long standing tradition as a primarily hunter’s association of men interested in target practice and shooting/marksmanship. Trophies and awards were given to successful marksman on local and state levels. During 1930’s and early 1940’s, the NS encouraged DSVB activities, but at the same time extended their influence on the organization. As a result, most of the trophies and awards bear swastikas during this period.
